Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition, lever filler.
Product Name Hundred Year Pen. This is the final version of the pens called "Hundred Year Pens", in the standard size, with smooth barrel and cap. Push on cap, as opposed to the earlier threaded caps. Marked with the model name on the barrel, and also on the nib.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- 1943-45 (The trim band moved from the barrel to the cap in 1942, and the pens were re-named "Emblem" circa 1946-7.)
Length Just a bit over 5" long
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the bladder in the pen and the filling system works well.
Color Solid shiny black called "Jet Black" with gold plated trim and cap band.
Nib FINE 14k gold Waterman's Hundred Pen nib. A little but of give, with modest line variation, so we consider it semi-flex. Wet and smooth. Excellent, large nib with good tipping.
Condition Excellent + condition, very smooth and shiny. The clip has some plating wear at the tip. The cap band has some marks but no brassing. The lever bar and lever box look great. The imprints are clear and legible. There are a few light marks on the cap and barrel, but no cracks or chips. Fully restored and working well.
