Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition, lever filler.
Product Name Hundred Year Pen. This is what we think is probably the last iteration of the Hundred Year Pen, shown in the Davis/Lehrer book. It's usually identified by the nib and unusual lines at the end of the barrel, though we feel this music nib might have been an upgrade or special swap.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- 1940s
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the bladder in the pen and the filling system works well.
Color Solid shiny black called "Jet Black" barrel with steel cap and gold clip. The cap and barrel have two sets of four ridges above the lip of the cap and above the end of the barrel.
Nib MUSIC 14k Ideal nib. Rare and desireable. See writing sample below. Excellent line variation from fine to double broad.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a unique, shiny pen in a great color combination. The barrel has microscratching most of which is near the end of the barrel. The cap has significant plating wear near the top. The clip looks excellent. The top gold piece has a few little deep marks. The imprints are crystal clear.
