Product Name Model 12 1/2 Eyedropper (marked clearly on the end of the barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, circa 1910
Length 4-3/4" (the "1/2" designation in the model indicates a slender pen)
Filling System Eye dropper -- see our filling instruction page for how to use an eye dropper.
Color Black chased hard rubber with two gold filled engraved bands on the barrel.
Nib FLEXIBLE EXTRA FINE. Desireable New York nib. It flexes easily and gives good line variation, and we consider it full flex, not quite a soft "Wet Noodle." Line variation from extra fine to broad. Very responsive, good spring back. See writing sample below. The nib is in excellent condition with good tipping material, though it was rather bent when we got it and so we did some work to straighten it. It's still a little wavy, but it writes well.
Condition Excellent +, very little wear. We noticed a bow in the cap, and you can see it in the photo below, however this does not affect capping the pen properly. The hard rubber is dark, and the chasing is crisp and only a little worn. The engraved bands on the barrel are near mint with hardly any wear. We cleaned and tested the pen, and it's ready to write.
