Product Description
Type Vintage eyedropper filling fountain pen with a flexible nib, working well.
Product Name Model 12 (marked on the end of the pen barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA - circa 1910.
Length 5-1/4".
Filling System Eyedropper filler. We've cleaned and tested it, it's working very well. We'll include instructions for this filling system.
Color Black and red mottled hard rubber in a sort of woodgrain pattern. Slip cap with a chrome plated accommodation clip which is fairly worn. This cap originally had a Waterman clip which has come off.
Nib FULL FLEX FINE Waterman's Ideal gold nib. It's smooth with nice tipping material. Very flexible with easy line variation from fine to a nice broad, and a double broad with light pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition except for a crack on the cap (not on the cap lip, this crack comes from where the clip originally attached), and some wear. It is a small crack and not much of a structural problem, so we have covered it up with the accommodation clip. There's a very faint warp mark in the cap as well, and some slight handwear and minor discoloration. The barrel shows some discoloration as well where the cap does not cover it, though it's still quite vibrant. There are light scratches and marks on the barrel. The plating on the clip is substantially worn, but it still looks and works great. No personalization, chips, dings, or dents, and the imprints are quite readable. It's working very well.
