Type | Vintage pen with eyedropper filling system, which has a flexible nib. |
Product Name | Model 12 (marked on the end of the pen barrel) |
Manufacturer and Year | Waterman - circa 1920s |
Length | 5-3/16" |
Filling System | Eyedropper (We tested the pen and it works very well.) We will include an eye dropper so you can start using it right away (provided you have some fountain pen ink). |
Color | Black chased hard rubber with gold plated trim in the form of two barrel ornately carved bands. This model has no clip, and the slip cap was intended to lack a clip. |
Nib | The nib is marked Waterman Ideal 2. It is fully flexible with a good ink flow ... and a lot of tipping material. The line varies from Extra Fine to Broad. (Not a wet noodle, but it flexes easily.) |
Condition
|
Excellent condition, though the color is a little faded. No cracks in the cap. The chasing on the pen is a bit worn, a little more so on the barrel than on the cap. Readable imprints on barrel and barrel end. The cap bands are in excellent condition with only a small amount of brassing on the high points. This pen writes very smoothly with an excellent amount of flex. The ink supply system is working well, and we'll guarantee it for a year. |
