Nib FULLY FLEXIBLE FINE gold nib is marked "Waterman's Ideal New York 2." We are willing to call this one a "wet noodle," and we see less than 10 pens a year that we feel would qualify for the term. It's smooth with good tipping and fully flexible with very easy line variation from extra fine to broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. Ornately engraved gold-filled band (floral pattern) shows almost no wear and no brassing or personalization. The hard rubber has faded to a uniform and not unpleasing brown, but the chasing is well intact and the imprints very readable. No cracks or chips, dings or dents. The pen has been cleaned and tested and is working very well.
