Product Description
Type | Vintage pen with eyedropper filling system, which has a semi-flex nib. |
Product Name | Model 12 (marked on the end of the pen barrel) |
Manufacturer and Year | Waterman - late 1910s or early 1920s |
Length | 5-3/16" |
Filling System | Eyedropper (We tested the pen and it works very well.) We will include an eye dropper so you can start using it right away (provided you have some fountain pen ink). |
Color | Black hard rubber with no trim. Smooth, no chasing, but the color is faded and so it looks a little brownish. |
Nib | The nib is marked Waterman Ideal New York (it's set deeply, and we can't see the number, but it is fair to assume it is a #2). It is a manifold, semi-flex nib ... you get a bit of a soft feel, but no line variation. |
Condition
|
Very nice condition, with the aforementioned brownish hard rubber. You can see the darker color where the barrel was protected by the cap, and where some idiot pen dealer (not us!) put a label. No cracks in the cap. Excellent readable imprints on barrel and barrel end. There are some light tool marks on the section.
