Color Black chased hard rubber with 14k solid gold trim. We have included photos of the 14KT mark on the clip and trim band; there is another 14KT mark on the reverse of the lever tab.
Nib FLEXIBLE medium 14k nib. It is marked Waterman's Ideal 4. The wet nib writes smoothly with very good line variation. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The exposed parts of the pen are similarly discolored though there are a few darker spots closer to the original black. The capped part of the pen is still very black. The chasing pattern is smoothed down somewhat, but is still visible. The barrel band and lever bar and housing look fantastic, with no wear or brassing. The main barrel imprint is readable and only the P is worn on the 14 PSF mark at the end of the barrel. No bite marks, large individual scratches, cracks, or chips.
Note: the trim band is personalized with the intials "S. A. M. S."
