Condition Very nice condition, with very good and crisp chasing. No cracks in the cap. Readable imprints on barrel and barrel end. Just a little brown tinged, not quite pitch black. There is quite a bit of wear on the gold filled bands. This pen writes nicely with an excellent amount of flex. The ink supply system is working well. There are quite a few scratches on the section and one place where it looks like it was sanded or filed, and as a result the taper cap fits very loosely and doesn't really want to stay in place. We were tempted to add something to the section to make it a little fatter so that it would grab the cap better, but we're concerned about cracking the hard-to-find taper cap, and so we will leave that to the purchaser.
