Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen
Product Name Unknown .... it says 3 on the nib but we're not sure if that was a model designation
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France, 1940s (We're guessing the vintage based on the military style clip, though it should be noted that this wouldn't have met the military requirements because the top of the pen would protrude from the pocket.) This is similar in form to the glass cartridge pens.
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler - excellent working condition with a new sac
Color Black barrel and cap. The trim is gold plated.
Nib 18k nib is flexible and extra fine (marked Watermans 18cts 3 France). Good line variation, and in excellent condition. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The material is shiny and smooth, very little wear on the plastic. Barrel imprint is slightly faded along the bottom edge, but mostly quite clear. The lever and lever box have brassing, but cap band and clip look really nice. No cracks, chips, bite marks, or personalization. The filling system is working well.
