Product Description
Type Lever filler fountain pen
Product Name #3
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, 1930s
Length 5"
Filling System Lever Filler, restored with a new sac.
Color Black and grey with red flecks, and nickel trim. The pen was missing the original clip, but someone has installed a bronze Kaweco Sport accommodation clip which seems to fit quite nicely.
Nib Flexible Waterman Ideal #2 (we think, it's hard to see the number) nib. Very smooth, very nice condition with excellent tipping material. You'll get a line variation between fine and double broad. Please see writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The main flaw is the missing original clip. This is a mid-size, black, shiny pen in a classic 1930s design. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and light to moderate scratching. There are some larger dent-like marks that are smoothed out. They're kind of like tooth marks, but they're in the middle of the barrel. The end of the barrel, with the "3" imprint, has a fair bit of scratching. The cap has light to moderate scratching, and also some tooth marks. The lever and thin cap band have some light brassing. The imprints are clear.
