Color Black chased hard rubber. Silver accommodation clip, marked made in France. There's a hallmark that might indicate German silver.
Nib FLEXIBE FINE Waterman's Ideal nib. Good line variation, from a fine to broad. See writing sample.
Condition Very nice condition. The outer surface has a lot of fading, to a deep brown, and is somewhat uneven and mottled in places. Although the chasing is largely smoothed down, you can still see the pattern from both the texture and the color. The barrel is unevenly faded, with some mottling near the nib. The clip (marked "Made in France" has some pitting and brassing on the surface, but is still nicely attached to the cap. The imprints are a bit worn; the barrel imprint is still fairly easy to read, but the imprint on the back portion of the barrel is much more faded and difficult to read. The safety mechanism is working very well.
