Type Vintage pen which works beautifully
Product Name Model 503, this was not a high end pen at the time.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, England - Late 1940s or early 1950s.
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Black pen with two narrow cap bands and a protruding red cap jewel. The trim is gold plated or filled.
Nib Flexible Fine 14k nib. The nib is marked Waterman's 14CT W-2A. The tines spread easily for strong line variation. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips or scratches. The pen has significant plating wear with darker marks on the lever and a mostly brassed clip. There is a scrape mark near the cap lip. The end of the barrel bulges somewhat and has both shallow bite marks and cap marks from posting. The imprint is very good. This pen writes very smoothly. The filling system is working well.
