Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully and has an expressive flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 1/2 (marked on the end of the pen barrel) ... this version has no clip and is a ring top, and has a wide band on the barrel and one on the cap.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, 1920s
Length Full length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Black chased hard rubber with gold plated trim. This is the version without a clip.
Nib The nib is marked Waterman Ideal 2. It is nicely flexible with pleasing line variation ... and has a good amount of tipping material. Excellent every day flex, not a wet noodle or full flex nib. The line varies from extra fine to broad. Though these measurments of flex are subjective, we consider this one between semi-flexible and flexible. (Writing sample below.)
Condition Excellent condition, really very nice. No cracks or chips. The color is good, just a faint suggestion of brown. The imprints on the barrel is readable.
The band on the barrel is engraved G.C. 1861-1921 ... this must have been a 60th birthday present!
The filling system is working well, and we'll guarantee it for a year.
