Product Name Model 52 1/2 V, marked on the end of the pen barrel. 5 means lever filler, 2 represents the nib size, 1/2 means that it's thin, and V means short
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- 1920s
Length 4-5/16" . This is a short and slim pen.
Filling System It is a lever filler. A new sac has been installed. It's fully restored and working well.
Color Smooth red hard rubber aka "Cardinal" color. It is a bright orange with a 1/8" gold filled cap band.
Nib Broad Cursive Italic Waterman's Ideal nib. The tines have been heavily cut down for line variation, we're not sure if it was done by Waterman or after it left the factory. They still spread for springy/soft writing but it's not really a flexible nib. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. There is a little plating wear on cap band and the edges of the lever box. The color looks perfect and the barrel imprints are remarkably clear. There's some patterning on the feed and a few marks on the cap. There are a few black spots on the section and throughout. No cracks or chips.
