Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well with a flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 1/2 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel). This pen is short (that's what the V stands for) and the "1/2" tells you it is more slender than the standard 52.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in U.S.A. -- 1920s.
Length 4-5/16 inches, excluding ringtop hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Smooth red hard rubber. It is a bright orange with a 3/16" gold filled cap band.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM Waterman's New York Ideal gold nib is smooth with lovely tipping material. It is very wet with strong line variation. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. The cap band looks great, with just very slight brassing along the lower edge. Slight discoloration on the barrel, underneath where the cap sits. No cracks, chips, personalization, or major scratches. The lever looks fantastic, with hardly any marks at all on it. Imprints are sworn but quite legible. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
