Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a flexible nib, restored and working well.
Product Name Model 52 1/2 V (marked on the end of the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA -- circa 1925.
Length 4-5/16 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with mismatched hardware -- gold plated ring hardware and nickel plated lever.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM Waterman's Ideal gold nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It's just a touch less than what we would call fully flexible, but produces nice line variations from medium to a nice broad under light pressure, and can give a nice double broad with a bit more pressure.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The chasing pattern is a little worn down by handwear, but still visible all around the pen. The color has faded slightly in some places, and there are small spots of brassing on the trim here and there. The imprints are slightly worn, but certainly still readable. We've fully restored the pen and it's working very well.
