Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Model 52 1/2 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, mad in U.S.A. -- 1920s.
Length 4-5/16 inches (not including the ring top hardware).
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Red ripple hard rubber with gold plated trim and a 5/32 inch wide cap band.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM-FINE Waterman's Ideal nib is smooth with lovely tipping. It's what we would consider fully flexible, though not super/ultra flex or a wet noodle, with easy line variation from medium-fine to a double broad under light pressure, and a soft feel to it. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition, though there's some minor brassing in a line around the cap band, as well as some spots on the lever and ring hardware. There's only light handwear and very little scratching on the cap and barrel, leaving the imprints fairly crips and readable, and the color is quite lovely. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
