Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully
Product Name Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA - circa 1925
Length Full length, 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the bladder and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with nickel plated trim.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM ITALIC. It's a Waterman's Ideal #2 nib. The tipping is good and it is a smooth writier. It's close to what we would call full flex, but not quite there. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition, with a little wear. The color has lightened a bit to a slightly brownish color, you can see the contrast between the part of the barrel that's covered by the cap and the part that's exposed. There's a little scratching on the end of the barrel, and a few small scratches on the cap as well. The trim is a bit dull, but the body of the pen is very shiney, with a nice imprint that is still visible. No cracks, chips, or personalization. It's a desireable pen, especially with the interesting nib on it.
