Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a smooth flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in Canada in the 1920s-30s.
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with nickel plated trim. This model did not have a clip.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE gold Waterman's #2 nib is smooth. Very easy line variaiton from fine to broad under very little pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The color is slightly faded to a deep olive-black color, but it's fairly consistent over the whole pen. The chasing is crisp and clean on the cap, though worn nearly smooth on the barrel. In spite of this wear, the ripple pattern is still visible. No cracks or chips in the rim of the cap. No cracks, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprints are excellent (see photos). It's fully restored and working well.
