Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a smooth flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA - circa 1920s.
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with nickel plated trim. The chasing is worn on the barrel, where it's quite shiny and smooth.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM gold Waterman's Ideal #2 nib is smooth with great tipping material. There's some staining or light pitting on the surface, as you can see in the photo. It's almost what we would call full flex, with very easy line variaiton from medium to double broad under very little pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. The hard rubber has not discolored and the chasing is crisp and clean. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprints are excellent (see photos). It's fully restored and working well.
