Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully
Product Name Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman - circa 1920s
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler (We installed a new sac and it works very well.)
Color Red and black woodgrain hard rubber with gold filled trim (the underside of the lever is marked 18k gold filled).
Nib FIRM EXTRA FINE Waterman's Account nib. It has excellent tipping, and is relatively smooth considering how fine and firm it is. The top of the nib is a little scratched and worn (see photos), but this does not affect its writing in the slightest.
Condition Excellent condition. There's just a tiny bit of brassing on the ball of the clip, but hardly any wear on the rest of the trim. Barely a scratch on the pen, from end to end, it's quite beautiful with no cracks or chips. The color is just a tiny bit faded to a lighter hue than it may have originally been, the end of the barrel and the section, where the cap protected it from the sun, show slightly more crisp black, and clear orange. The imprint is very clear. It's a beautiful piece, fully restored and working very well.
