Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully and has a flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman - circa 1920s
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Red ripple hard rubber with gold plated trim
Nib The nib is marked Waterman Ideal Reg US Pat Off . It is nicely flexible with a good ink flow ... and good tipping material. The line varies easily from extra fine to medium. See writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition, the hard rubber is incredibly smooth to the touch and the color is awesome. No cracks or chips. The cap imprint is good, as is the model number on the end of the barrel. The clip is tight and not wiggly. There is some brassing on the lever, and on the band, but the plating on the clip is excellent. The nib is in very good condition, though there are some scratches on the surface and a toolmark on one side of the nib. (Nothing that affects the writing experience.)
Personalized on the barrel : RAYMOND KAUFMAN
This pen writes very smoothly with a good amount of flex (see the writing sample). The filling system is working well, and we'll guarantee it for a year.
