Product Description
Type Vintage pen which works beautifully and has a flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- 1920s
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Red ripple hard rubber with gold plated trim. The rippling on the barrel is especially neat!
Nib 14K. The nib is marked Waterman Ideal. It is nicely flexible with a good ink flow. We consider it great for every day writing, but it's not a wet noodle or super-flex. The line variation is strong, from medium-fine to broad plus. Please see writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition, the hard rubber is incredibly smooth to the touch and the color is awesome. The only wear is on the trim. The lever has some pitting and the upper part of the cap band has a thin line of brassing. The ball end of the clip also has some brassing but it's not that noticeable. This pen writes smoothly with a good amount of flex. The filling system is working well, and we'll guarantee it for a year.
