Product Name Model 52 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel), the short version of the 52.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA - circa 1920s.
Length Just a hair over 4-3/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Smooth black hard rubber with gold filled trim
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE Waterman's Ideal gold. It's what we would call fully flexible, with easy line variation from fine to double broad, and even more with a little pressure. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The barrel and cap look very nice. The main flaw is that the original black color has turned brownish except on the barrel where it was covered by the cap. The brown is very uniform and almost looks like it was the original color. There is some brassing on the trim, especially on the ball of the clip and along one edge of the cap band. The lettering on the clip is a little worn at the point of the hump and the imprint is somewhat worn (see pic). No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
