Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well with a flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel). This pen is short (that's what the V stands for) but the same thickness as the full length 52.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in U.S.A. -- 1920s.
Length 4-5/16 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Smooth red hard rubber. It is a bright orange with a 1/8" gold filled cap band.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM Waterman's New York Ideal gold nib is smooth with lovely tipping material. It is very wet with strong line variation. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. The trim looks great and there is very low handwear. The barrel imprints are clear and there is no discoloration on the cap, barrel, section or feed. The only real blemish is that it has been personalized, "A.M.W." on the cap band but even that was neatly done. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. The lever looks like a more modern replacement. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
