Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen with a great flexible nib.
Product Name Model 52 V (marked on the end of the pen barrel)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman - circa 1925
Length 4-3/8" not counting the ringtop hardwear
Filling System Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.)
Color Red ripple hard rubber with gold plated trim.
Nib FLEXIBLE EXTRA FINE Waterman's #2 nib is in great condition, with good tipping. It's full flex and almost what we would call a wet noodle, with line variation from extra fine to double broad. See writing sample below. There are two parallel scratches on the surface of the nib which you can see in the photo, but of course these do not affect the writing.
Condition Excellent condition. There's some light scratching on the lower barrel and the upper cap. Some brassing on the upper edge of the gold plated cap band and on the edges of the lever. There are a few small indents in the cap band (see photos). No cracks or chips, and the color is excellent. The imprint is a bit worn, but still mostly readable. It's quite a beautiful pen, fully restored and working very well.
