Product Description

Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- 1920s.
Length Just under 5-7/16"
Filling System Lever filler. A new sac has been installed and tested. It's working well.
Color Bright orange red hard rubber called "Cardinal" by collectors. It has 18k gold filled trim including a clip and a 3/16" cap band.
Nib Medium Flexible Waterman's Ideal #4 nib. It is smooth and flexes easily. Please see the writing sample below. The feed is a little discolored on the sides.
Condition Very nice condition, excellent except for a crack in the cap (see photo). With the gold filled cap band reinforcing the cap lip, this crack should not get worse from normal usage. The pen has very bright and even color. The many imprints are legible with little wear, but the area of the pen beneath the cap is slightly discolored and there is a chip missing near the edge of the nib collar. The cap band is a bit brassed. The pen has a few marks including a circular mark on the top of the cap. It's working very well.
