Product Description
Type Vintage lever filing fountain pen.
Product Name Model 7 (This is the later version of the #7 pen, in celluloid). This pen has a "purple" nib indicating extra fine firm, but the "7" on the end of the barrel is in green, so the nib probably got changed at some point.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, Made in USA - circa 1940s
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black celluloid cap and barrel. The trim is gold plated.
Nib FINE Purple Keyhole Waterman's Ideal Reg. U.S. 7. The "purple" nib is firm and very fine, originally meant for accountants who had to write a lot of small numbers in their ledger books.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large, velvety black, and shiny fountain pen in a classic look. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. It has some light scratches near the end. The green "7" on the end of the barrel is very clear. The lever has some brassing around the tab, but otherwise looks excellent. The cap has light to moderate scratches throughout with a few longer, thin lines near the top. The cap band has some brassing on the lower edge. The clip has some plating wear around the edges. The imprints are crystal clear.
