Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Model 92V, a small sized model with a clip.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in U.S.A. -- late 1930s or early 1940s (based on the wartime eagle imprint on the cap)
Length 4-3/16 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Brown and grey marble colored cap and barrel with gold plated trim and a thin single cap band.
Nib FINE Waterman Ideal #2 gold nib is quite smooth with nice tipping material. The nib is not quite what we would call fully flexible, but it's more than semi-flex, with easy line variation from fine to broad, and a little more with slightly more pressure. See writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. No cracks or chips, dings, or dents. The color appears to have faded a little, and there's some slight staining under the cap. The clip is bent away from the cap just slightly, and there are tiny spots of brassing on the tip of the clip, on the cap band, and a touch on the lever. There are some small scratches on the cap and barrel. The imprints are clear and readable. The pen has been fully restored and it's working well.
The barrel is personalized with the name "B. Haines," and the cap is engraved with an eagle above "U.S.A." (see photos below).
