Manufacturer and Year Waterman, Canada, 1940s
Length Fountain pen is 4-7/8", pencil is 4-13/16"
Filling System Lever filler fountain pen (restored with a new sac). The pencil takes 1.1mm leads.
Color White pearl celluloid with gold filled trim. The fountain pen is more yellow-y than the pencil.
Nib Flexible fine 14k 2A nib. Marked "Waterman's IDEAL 14KT Canada 2A". Nice line variation. See writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition. The fountain pen has aged gracefully into a nice ivory color, and still retains all of its pearliness. The clip and top rivet have touches of brassing on the edges, and the cap bands have some small pitting. The lever box looks good. The cap and barrel material is fairly smooth and shiny, with light handwear and a couple of small scratches near the back end. The pencil is in good shape, with brassing on the clip rivet and cap bands. No serious scratches, cracks, or chips. Turning the top to extend or retract the lead is smooth.
