Product Description
Type Cartridge/Converter Fountain Pen
Product Name Waterman CF (CF stands for cartridge filler).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France -- 1950s.
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Here's the challenge with Waterman CFs: the cartridges and converters are no longer made and are close to impossible to find. To use these pens, most modern day owners resort to refilling the cartridges with a syringe. Towards that end, we will provide the buyer with a dry Waterman CF cartridge which can be refilled, as well as a syringe.
Color Red barrel, pale grey section, shiny chrome lined (with a pattern of four lines and a space) cap, gold trim. The barrel has a clear chalk mark that says, "C/F 1500 Fine Flex $16.50 F.T.I."
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE inlaid 14k nib. Though it's marked flexible on the barrel, we only consider it semi-flexible at best. There is pitting along the edges of the feed, and plating loss on the inlay.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a slim prettily colored pen that is shiny and attractive. The barrel has light scratching, mainly just microscratching, but fairly consistent. The end piece on the barrel has heavy plating wear and pitting. The pale grey section looks excellent. The gold trim pieces on the section have pitting. The cap is excellent with just some light microscratching. The clip looks nice with just some light microscratching and some miniscule black dots on the slanted top and along the right edge.
