Filling System Cartridge/comverter. Here's the challenge with Waterman CFs: the cartridges and converters are no longer made and are close to impossible to find. To use these pens, most modern day owners resort to refilling the cartridges with a syringe. The owner of this set is lucky though. The box still has 8 new cartridges under the tray and a dummy cartridge that's still stamped. The pencil takes 0.9mm leads and the twist mechanism works well.
Color Black, probably lacquer bodies with gold plated smooth caps.
Nib FINE 14k nib is smooth and slightly springy.
Condition Superior condition. The pencil is near mint with just a line of plating wear between the cone and barrel. The pen has a single mark on the feed and there is some plating wear around the nib as well. The end of the barrel is silver colored, which is the way we think it was originally. despite the rest of the trim being gold. . No scratches, dents, chips, or cracks on either. Ships in a great condition Waterman CF box with usable CF cartridges and original paperwork.
