Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Commando (it's marked on the barrel). This model was one step down in size from the standard Hundred Year Pen, and otherwise quite similar to the later Hundred Year Pens.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA -- early 1940's.
Length 5".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black with gold plated trim and two thin cap bands.
Nib EXTRA FINE Waterman's Ideal Rigid 14k nib is quite large. It's smooth with nice tipping material. No line variation.
Condition Superior condition. The pen is shiny without scratches. Most of the white filling on the barrel imprint is intact. In one area, the narrow cap bands are a bit wavy instead of smooth. There are a few marks of plating wear and a few marks on the section. Otherwise the pen looks new. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization.
