Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Commando (it's marked on the barrel). This model was one step down in size from the standard Hundred Year Pen, and otherwise quite similar to the later Hundred Year Pens.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA -- early 1940's.
Length 5-3/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black with gold plated trim and two thin cap bands.
Nib FINE Waterman's Ideal Rigid 14k nib.
Condition Excellent condition for this velvety black, shiny pen with vintage styling. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as light to some moderate scratching near the end of the barrel. The lever has microscratching and a bit of plating wear along the edges. The cap has moderate scratching with a few long scratch lines. There is a large chip on the right side of the top of the clip where it mounts, which can be seen clearly in the #1 shot below. The clip has moderate microscratching as does the disc that secures it, with some brassing at the very tip. The disc also has some light plating wear. The imprints are crystal clear.
