Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Commando (it's marked on the barrel). This model was one step down in size from the standard Hundred Year Pen, and otherwise quite similar to the later Hundred Year Pens.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in USA -- early 1940's.
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Burgundy (a brownish burgundy color) with gold plated trim and 3/16" cap band.
Nib STUB 14k Ideal Nib. It's got a little give to it, so we would call it semi-flex. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a dark, shiny pen that is lovely to behold. The cap and barrel have very light scratching. The barrel has light marks caused by the cap lip. The lever is nice and shiny with just some light plating wear around the upper edge. The cap band is lovely. The clip looks great. The imprints are clear.
