Product Description
Type Vintage desk fountain pen with oval base.
Product Name Unknown (because it's a desk pen there is no marking on the end of the barrel to indicate a model).
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, Made in USA - circa 1920-30s
Length The pen is 7-13/16" from the end of its barrel to the tip of its nib. The base is oval, about 4 inches at its widest point.
Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the bladder and it's working very well.
Color Black smooth hard rubber pen and holder. Greenish-cream color base with brown veining.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Waterman's Ideal #2 nib. It's in really nice condition, smooth, with good tipping material remaining. It has nice line variation from a medium-fine to broad + with a little pressure.
Condition Excellent condition except for discoloration of the black hard rubber, which is not brownish. Hardly any real plating wear, no cracks or chips, ding or dents. The imprint on the barrel is quite clear and readable.
The base shows a little wear on its gold plated highlights and a little discoloration on the black hard rubber flute. No chips, cracks, or dents, and the original Waterman's sticker is still on the bottom.
