Product Description
Type Three piece set of a cartridge/converter filling fountain pen, ballpoint pen, and mechanical pencil.
Product Name Executive Lacquer. This was close to the Gentleman in quality but not the actual top of the line. MSRP for the fountain pen would have been about $110 in the 1980s.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in France -- 1976-89, this is approximate but it started after the Gentleman and ended before it too.
Length Fountain Pen: 5-1/2"; mechanical pencil: 5-5/8"; ballpoint pen is 5-1/2"
Filling System Waterman branded refills or Waterman converters. A converter is installed. The mechanical pencil takes 0.7mm leads. The lead is extended by clicking the cap.
Color Brown Marble lacquer is a reddish brown color with black marbling. Gold plated trim.
Nib MEDIUM 18k nib.
Condition Excellent condition. This is a handsome, shiny set in a rich color pattern. The fountain pen has very light scratching on the cap and barrel. The nib collar looks fantastic; we often see pitting and corrosion here, but this one looks perfect. The ballpoint pen looks great, with just some microscratching. No brassing or plating wear on the trim or nose cone. The mechanical pencil has light scratching on the cap and barrel. The imprints on all three pieces are clear.
