Product Description
Type Fountain pen from the late 1950s
Product Name JIFmatic? We're not quite sure. This was an entry level pen.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France, late 1950s
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System This pen uses an aerometric flag-filling system. Instructions for how to use it are included in the box. We have restored and tested it and it's working very well.
Color Grey barrel and section. Shiny chrome cap with a gold-plated clip, and gold-plated finials on both ends.
Nib MEDIUM 14c gold nib. Semi-flexible, giving you line variation between medium and double-broad. See our writing sample below.
Condition New old stock condition, in original box. The pen looks fantastic, and has both a "JIFmatic" sticker attached to the barrel, and also a "Medium Nib" chalkmark. There are some small scratches on the section. There is faint microscratching on the barrel and cap. The cap looks almost perfect, with very shiny chrome and no brassing on the gold-plated cap or finial. No dents or dings. The hard-sided clamshell box has some small storage marks, but is otherwise in great shape.
