Product Description
Type Vintage lever-filling fountain pen.
Product Name Waterman Hundred Year Pen, Ladies' version.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, Canada -- early 1940s.
Length 4-3/8" long (the barrel end is truncated, so it was originally a bit longer)
Filling System Lever filler. We've put a new bladder in the pen and the filling system works well..
Color Black body, with a celluloid endpiece. The barrel is ribbed.
Nib ITALIC 14k Hundred Year Pen nib. It's quite nice and a little springy, but most of the line variation that you see in the writing sample is due to the nib's italic shape.
Condition Very nice condition. The majority of the value is in the spectacular nib. The barrel end piece is crystallized, which is very typical for these pens, however it has been stabilized and sealed with CA or some similar substance, so it isn't raggedy and crumbling. General wear and scratches. The imprint is excellent. A spot of plating wear at the top of the clip. Slender cap rings have a bit of plating wear and loss, but the wide center band is excellent. The lever tab has brassing on the edge.
