Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in working condition, lever filler, hard to find.
Product Name Waterman Hundred Year Pen (marked on the nib, and on the cap)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, circa 1941. This is the third year version where the clear parts matched the solid color ... in this case red. Third year models had one cap band and a ribbed barrel and partially ribbed cap.
Length Full size 5-1/8" (there's a fatter oversized model, but this is the standard full size pen)
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the bladder with a silicone sac in the pen and the filling system works well.
Color Very dark red ribbed barrel and cap, with vred cap-top and barrel end. We believe this is the original barrel end, not a replacement. Gold plated trim.
Nib Huge gold Waterman Hundred Year Pen nib. Fine with a good amount of flex, garden variety flexible, not full flex. See writing sample.
Condition Very nice working condition. Only light scratches on the body and trim, with some brassing on the tip of the clip and high points of the clip. No cracks in the celluloid on the top of the cap, but we do recommend caution when using the clip as this area can be prone to cracking.
Personalized on the cap band JEANNE ZINKOW, RN
The nib writes super smoothly and has good tipping material. The cap imprint is worn but readable. It is ready to write.
