Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen working well.
Product Name Hundred Year Pen (marked on the nib, and on the cap) - this is the smaller "Lady" version.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, circa 1941. This is the third year version where the clear parts matched the solid color ... in this case green. Third year models had one cap band and a ribbed barrel and partially ribbed cap.
Length 4-11/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and the filling system works well.
Color Translucent green ribbed barrel and cap with a slightly more clear green cap-top and barrel end, and gold plated trim.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE gold Waterman Hundred Year Pen nib. Nice tipping. The top surface of the nib is a little scratched, and there are two indents on the bottom of the feed, but this does not affect its writing at all. We would call this excellent everyday flex, not full flex. See writing sample.
Condition Very nice condition. There's some substantial plating wear on the lever (see photos), but just a little on the lower cap band and the corners of the clip. Minor scratching on the smooth part of the cap, but otherwise the pen looks great. No cracks in the celluloid on the top of the cap, but we do recommend caution when using the clip as this area can be prone to cracking. No personalization. Fully restored and working well.
