Product Description
Type VIntage fountain pen.
Product Name Ink-Vue, first version
Manufacturer and Year Waterman USA - circa 1935
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Compound style lever filler which we have restored and tested. It requires that you pump it a few times - we'll enclose instructions on this filling system. We restored it with a new sac, and fully tested it.
Color "Emerald Ray" finish (green and black celluloid) with great barrel clarity. The trim is gold plated.
Nib GREEN Keyhole nib - according to Waterman this was firm and put down a medium line, perfect for the sales people of the era to make multiple impressions using carbon paper. This medium nib looks quite wide to us, and rounded on the edges for smooth writing.
Condition Superior condition. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The trim looks really excellent; there is some brassing on the sides of the clip, and the lever shows a bit of wear. There are some small scratches on the cap, and light handwear on the barrel. The material has a good shine to it, and the barrel clarity is excellent. The imprint is slightly worn, but still easily readable. The pen is working very well.
