Product Name L'Étalon. This was one the top series for Waterman in the 1990s, a heavy large pen.

Filling System Takes international cartridges or converters. A Waterman piston converter is installed.
Color Gold plated cap and barrel with black section. The gold is in a woven pattern.
Nib MEDIUM solid 18k nib marked Waterman Paris. It's very smooth and firm with lovely tipping. The feed is marked M.
Condition Near mint condition. There are just the slightest signs of use, a few microscratches here and there. There's a tiny chip on the edge of the gold ring on the section that is beneath the nib-- it's on the feed side of the nib, so you don't see it when writing (see feed photo below). No chips, cracks, scratches, dents, or dings. The imprints are clear. It's working very well, in its original box with (empty) ink well.
