Product Description
Type Waterman fountain pen in box
Product Name Lady Charlotte
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France -- circa 2000.
Length Pen is 4-1/4" capped
Filling System The most straight forward way to use this pen is with Waterman mini cartridges. We will enclose one of these small cartridges.
Finding a converter that fits will be more challenging, as it takes one of the two types of Waterman CF converters which are no longer made. We modified a Monteverde mini converter as a substitute and it is installed and works well. It fits loosely in the section and is held in place when you screw on the barrel. It is easy to nudge the converter out of the section, so you need to be careful when removing the barrel. The converter by itself doesn't leak so it shouldn't be a problem but please be aware that it's a tight enough fit in the barrel to be easily nudged by it.
There is a small amount of variation between the openings of the international cartridges and this pen is finicky. We recommend sticking to Waterman brand mini cartridges.
Color Solid blue color with gold plated trim.
Nib DOUBLE BROAD 18k single tone nib. Very smooth. The section label is no longer there but based off of comparison it seems much too wide to be a regular broad nib. This is a plain nib with minimal markings.
Condition Excellent + condition due to plating wear. The blue parts of the pen look great with low handwear but the trim at the end of the section is worn and there has been some bubbling on the section. Packaging includes original box and cardboard sleeve, pack of cartridges, and the adapted converter.
