Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Lady Garland Taperite fountain pen with steel cap. We're not 100% certain that we have the model properly identified, as Taperite nibs appeared on a wide variety of pens and we've seen pens identified as Lady Garland with slightly different markings on the cap.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in Canada - circa later 1940s.
Length 4-7/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black body with a steel cap with a decorative line pattern. Gold plated clip and cap top.
Nib Fine 14k "Taperite" nib is semi-hooded.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or dents. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as moderate scratching around the lever. There are bite marks near the end of the barrel. The lever bar has brassing, especially around the tab end. There is plating wear on the lever housing. Clutch ring has brassing. The section has moderate tool marks. The cap has light scratching. The clip has brassing along the edges and around the open end. The imprints are faded but readable.
