Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen, in original box.
Product Name Lady Patricia.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, made in Canada -- circa late 1920s.
Length Just over 4-1/4 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color The "Emerald" color was originally a lighter jade green marbled color, and over time the body has gotten a little darker, and the cap shows some ink staining to a darker, slightly more green-black color around the cap's breather holes. Bblack section, cap lip, and feed. Gold plated trim.
Nib MEDIUM-FINE Waterman's gold Ideal England #2 nib is smooth with lovely tipping. It's fairly flexible, more than what we would call semi-flex, but not full flex. Line variation from medium-fine to double broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition except for the above-mentioned discoloration, and some brassing on the edges of the cap band. There are some very light scratches and marks on the cap and barrel. No cracks or chips, dings or dents. The imprint is crisp and readable. It's fully restored and working well.
The box is one of the multi-colored "coffin" style Waterman boxes, with the original owner's name written on the underside of the lid where it says Waterman's Made in Canada. The box is in very nice condition with no splits and only one ink stain on the end.
The top of the cap is engraved with the date 27/6/32.
