Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in very nice working condition, lever filler.
Product Name Possibly associated with the Lady Patricia or Patrician line. It features the "Persian" celluloid with the correct black cap lip, butwe aren't aware of any ring tops in the Patrician line. The pierced cap band resembles the seen on some model 94s from the same era.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA, late 1920s
Length 4-1/4", excluding ringtop hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've put a new silicone sac in the pen and the filling system works well.
Color The "Persian" color was originally a swirled mixture of pearl, pink, and light green celluloid, and featured a black section and cap lip, as well as chrome plated trim. This celluloid was also notorious for not retaining its color over time, and this one is no exception. Much of the color has aged to more of a caramel brown shade, with just the very top of the cap closer to a warm pearly shade.
Nib EXTRA FINE flexible Waterman's IDEAL nib is smooth with easy line variation. Line variation from extra fine to broad. See our writing sample in the photos.
Condition Excellent condition. As mentioned above, there is discoloration, and handwear on the cap and barrel. The lever has brassing and dots of plating wear, as does the cap band. The ringtop hardware looks good. No cracks or chips in the celluloid. The imprint is smoothed down a bit, but still easily readable.
