Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in nice working condition, lever filler.
Product Name Lady Patrician
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA - late 1920s
Length Small size, 4-1/4"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and it's working well.
Color "Persian" pattern with some tight swirls. Much of the barrel has turned to a mroe caramel color, while its end is cream, and its cap is mostly cream with darker stripes (see photos). This pattern is often confused with the "onyx" patern, but according to a forum on the Fountain Pen Network this pattern is the prior.
Nib EXTRA FINE Waterman's Account Ideal nib. It's gold, with nice tipping remaining, very firm.
Condition Very nice condition. There are some fractures under the surface in the end of the barrel but it still feels solid. No cracks in the threads or the cap lip. There's scratching on the cap and barrel and the cap band has wear on its ridges. There's just a tiny bit of brassing on the lever and on the clip. The clip sits just a tiny bit away from the cap, so it doesn't clip onto paper firmly, but it should do fine clipping onto fabric. As mentioned above the pen has discolored a bit. The imprints are clear, and the pen is working well.
