Product Name Patrician, top of the line model for Waterman in the 1930s.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- 1930s, the model came out in 1929 and Nacre is a launch color.
Length 5-7/16".
Filling System The pencil takes "thick" or 1.1mm leads. The lead extends and retracts via a twist mechanism and is working well. An eraser is attached to the metal tube beneath the cap and it is in good condition.
Color The "Nacre" color is comprised of ivory and black celluloid. We usually call this pattern, "black and pearl." There are black accent pieces, including the gripping section, that is made of hard rubber instead of celluloid. Chrome plated trim including a cut out patterned band. The cap band is 1/4" wide.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips or dents. This is a sturdy, shiny, beautifully colored and patterned pencil. The body of the pencil has light to moderate wear. The black section area has some variously sized deeper marks. The black piece above the clip area has a few of these same deep marks. The silver cone has microscratching and four or five deep marks near the black area. The cap band has microscratching, and a few deeper scratches. The pencil is personalized, "Oscar Cedar". The imprints are clear.
